Personal Training for Diabetes · Singapore CBD
Singapore has run a national War on Diabetes for years, and the evidence on what helps is unusually clear. Alongside the care your doctor provides, structured exercise, and resistance training in particular, is one of the most effective levers for blood-sugar control. The reason is simple: skeletal muscle is the body's largest site of glucose disposal. The more capable, well-trained muscle you carry, and the more regularly you load it, the better your body handles glucose. Catalyst builds exactly that, under the oversight of a co-founder who holds a medical degree.
Every client managing diabetes starts with the Catalyst Healthspan Assessment. Sixty minutes in studio, four pillars measured. Two of them matter most here: Body Composition (skeletal muscle mass and visceral fat) and Cardiorespiratory Fitness, the two systems most tightly linked to metabolic health. The programme that follows is built from those numbers, progressed conservatively, and calibrated to the targets your doctor has set.
We work with adults newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, people with prediabetes trying to avoid the diagnosis, clients managing diabetes alongside weight loss, and people on the newer GLP-1 medications who want to protect muscle while the weight comes off. If you are on a GLP-1, see our note on protecting muscle through GLP-1 weight loss.
