October (race day), with a July to October virtual window
The Stride For Good, a Singapore running event typically held october (race day), with a july to october virtual window, gets its own guide here: the distances, the timing to expect, and how many weeks of training each distance needs, whether you are toeing the line for the first time or chasing a personal best.
BCARE's 30th-anniversary charity run at Punggol Digital District.
A charity run with two ways in: a race morning at Punggol Digital District on 17 October 2026 with 3km and 6km categories, and a virtual challenge where you accumulate 30km anywhere between July and October, walking, jogging, cycling or skating. Every entry raises funds for Bethesda CARE Centre's work with low-income families, isolated seniors and persons living with mental health conditions. The distances are deliberately within reach: this is an event you can bring your family, your colleagues or your first-ever race nerves to. Catalyst Performance is an official event partner of the 2026 edition.

The honest answer depends on where you are starting. Two guides, for a runner already training consistently and for someone starting close to zero:
| Distance | Already running | Starting from scratch |
|---|---|---|
| 3km or 6km (race day) · 30km cumulative (virtual) | 2 to 4 weeks | 6 to 8 weeks |
Those windows assume consistent, structured training, not just logging distance. Most recreational runners improve fastest by running most of their week easy and keeping the hard days genuinely hard. If you want a plan built around your assessment and this race as the target, our personal training for runners does exactly that. You can also predict your finish time with our running pace calculator and dial in your easy pace with the heart rate zones calculator.
Catalyst Performance is an event partner of Stride For Good 2026. The fit is straightforward: an event built on getting people of every age and fitness level moving, in aid of the seniors and families BCARE serves, is the same idea our training is built on, capability that lasts for decades rather than a single race-day peak.
If race day gets you moving again, keep the momentum. Our coaches build structured programmes around whatever the event starts, whether that is your first continuous 3km or a return to regular training after years away.
