Pillar 01 of 04

Body Composition

Cardio, stability and strength are all expressed through a body. This pillar measures whether that body is built to last.

An animated field of particles condenses into a dense core as you scroll, representing muscle being built while the waist-to-height ratio falls towards the 0.50 target.

Muscle is the body's largest metabolic organ.

Visceral fat is the counterweight.

Two numbers, one verdict on your metabolic future.

Why it matters

The foundation the other pillars stand on

Skeletal muscle is where blood sugar goes, where protein reserves live, and what every decade after 40 quietly taxes. Lose it, and the other three pillars lose the platform they are expressed through.

Visceral fat works in the opposite direction, metabolically active in the wrong way. Body composition is the pillar that governs the slow failure mode: the metabolic diseases that end healthspans early.

The Catalyst Healthspan AssessmentWhat we measure

The report

Test 01

Skeletal Muscle Index

How much muscle you carry for your height, measured in-studio. The number that should rise across the decades, not drift down.

Test 02

Waist-to-Height Ratio

Where the risk sits. A tape measure that outperforms the bathroom scale as a signal of metabolic health.

Scored against age-and-sex norms
25% of your Healthspan Score
Re-measured every 16 weeks at the Checkpoint

How we train it

The prescription

  • AProgressive resistance training as the base of every programme
  • BProtein anchored at 1.2 to 1.6 g per kg of body weight
  • CFat loss built around keeping muscle, never around the scale

The score

Equal weight, by design. No pillar can carry another. Four scores combine into one Healthspan Score out of 10.
